Owning the best gaming keyboard may seem like a luxury. But as it's one of the key ways that you interact with your PC, it makes sense that you'll want it to feel comfortable beneath your fingertips. Whether you're after a responsive keypress for fast-paced games or you just want to make the humdrum task of typing just a little more enjoyable, this guide should help you find what you need.
You'll notice that a lot of the best mechanical keyboards feature on this list, but we've also included a couple of less expensive membrane variants. There are several factors you'll want to consider when looking for the best gaming keyboard to suit your needs. If you're new to mechanical keyboards, you might be surprised at how different they can feel—each mechanical switch type offers a distinct feel when pressed.
Luckily, most models will offer a choice so you can pair your favorite switch type with your preferred keyboard. But what about the different types of switches? An excellent place to start is to look for Cherry MX switches, which most consider as the best mechanical switches out there. Cherry MX Blues are arguably the most popular requiring only a light key press to register but making a distinct clicky sound which can be off-putting for some people—or just plain annoying to others if you share a room or office.
Cherry MX Browns offer the same feel as Blues but without the sound. Alternatively, linear Reds feel smoother and require the key to be pushed in fully before registering. Just to confuse things further, manufacturers such as Razer has its own, color-coded mechanical switches. If you're still unsure, we've got a handy guide to the different mechanical switch types.
Other features you might want to consider are dedicated media controls, macro keys, and whether or not your keyboard of choice has a USB passthrough.
And of course, size is something else you should consider. Full-sized keyboards tend to offer the most features, but if you don't have the spare real estate to house one on your desk, all of those extras you paid for will be useless. Tenkeyless no number pad and compact keyboards can be an option too, especially if you don't care about all the extra bells and whistles.
We've listed our top picks of the best gaming keyboards below and where to find them. Alternatively, if you can't quite justify the cost of one of these, the best cheap gaming keyboards may be more to your wallet's taste. When you want to go the extra mile and upgrade to the absolute best of the best, it's hard to find a better option than the Corsair K95 Platinum. The K95 Platinum is a big keyboard: its enormous footprint still requires some desk cleaning before it can be nested comfortably.
But feature-wise, the K95 Platinum's got it all. It even comes with an extra set of textured keycaps for the WASD keys. While it's expensive, you do know what you're getting for your money here, and throughout we've seen the price of the K95 dropping steadily.
We also love its detachable wrist rest, which makes things super comfortable for long gaming sessions and this keyboard is fantastic for strategy games and MMOs. The rubberized wristpad attaches magnetically and has two contrasting textures: one smooth side and one rough side.
Switching sides is as easy as flipping it over, and the added comfort it brings is exceptional.Wise up and invest in the best gaming keyboard your budget can afford. The computer peripherals company took what made the wired version of the K63 so great, and put it into a wireless version — without compromising on much at all. Packing tight Cherry MX Red switches, full RGB lighting and convenient media controls, the K63 wireless is proof that wireless keyboards can be very capable ineven for gaming.

Appealing and responsive, this keyboard is only as big as it needs to be, and is thus extremely comfortable to type as well as game on. The budget-minded SteelSeries Apex 3 may come with a few concessions, but it also boasts some impressive features that more than make up for those compromises. Another is its reactive and customizable zone RGB illumination to make your gaming experience all the more impressive. One of the hottest topics I hear throughout the Overwatch community is which heroes are the hardest to master, and which heroes are the easiest to master.
I was curious myself to see all the Overwatch heroes ranked from easiest to hardest, so I have decided to make this list here. This list also shows you which heroes are best for beginners top of the list and which ones are best for experts bottom of list.
Keep in mind this list is my rough estimate. Overwatch is still a young game and this list is subject to change in the future once we start realizing the full potential of every hero.
If you think a hero deserves to be higher or lower on the list then please comment down below. Check it out. Winston is a great pick for new players or for players who want an easy experience with Overwatch. Winston requires very little precision with his abilities and his main attack weapon doesn't even need to be aimed at enemies.
It has a very small learning curve to it and any new players can pick the game up and easily start using his Tesla Cannon with no problems. Jump pack is easy to use but one must know the maps in order to know where to jump to.
But then again, map knowledge is important with any hero. Winston's leap goes on a much shorter cooldown during his ultimate and he must get into melee range to do any damage.
Winston remains relatively safe during Primal Rage because he gets fully healed at HP during his ultimate. Reaper is great for new players because his abilities don't require a lot of precision. It won't take long to get the hang of his abilities as one can pick him up and start playing right away.
It is much harder than Winston however, as you will still need to do some aiming. It can be a bit risky to use, so one must be a little cautious about executing it. Torbjorn players have it easy for them because their turrets do a lot of their DPS.
Turrets still take knowledge in where to build them throughout the maps and some basic skill for using his Rivet Gun. Once the turret is up it works for you and you only need to keep an eye on its hitpoints to repair it after it takes damage. Collecting scrap is probably the most difficult aspect of it and overall it is a very easy ability to do.
Knowing when to activate it can take a little knowledge. Bastion is really simple, you move around and shoot things and sit still and shoot things. The strategies are relatively easy to learn, he just takes a bit of aiming practice and knowledge on when and where to use his Sentry mode at and you will be okay with him. His default mode is Rocon and he simply moves around while only being able to fire his gun. His gun is hit-scan, meaning there is no projectiles, bullets instantly hit the target you shoot at, which makes aiming more simpler, but still requires some practice.
What's more difficult is learning where and when to use Sentry mode at, which shouldn't take a long time to learn. Simply repair the damage up. Very easy ability, not much to it. Reinhardt requires virtually no aiming, except when firing Fire Strikes. He spends a lot of time with his shield out protecting his team and his abilities are not too difficult to master, but knowing how to protect his team while staying alive does have a slight learning curve to it.
Using it is really easy, but knowing how to position yourself on the battlefield with it will take a bit of experience.
Charge is one of the most difficult aspects of Reinhardt's arsenal to master. You can easily get yourself in nasty situations with this ability and it will take some time to master it properly. Aiming it is not too hard and only takes a bit of practice to get the hang of. The main issue I see with new players is simply not using the ability as often as they should.
Very simple to use and only takes a bit of knowledge in knowing when to use it. A lot of people think Mercy would be the easiest, think again! Although her abilities are easy to use and she requires virtually no aiming when buffing her teammates, she does require a lot of knowledge in knowing which allies to buff before others and how to stay out of trouble. The settings and setups of Overwatch professionals can be incredibly hard to find.
