Unless your camera counter rolled over from to during the shoot, a simple sort by filename should put them in the correct order. When you export your JPEGs you can also assign a sequence number to the exported file name.

This allows the Windows or Mac operating system to order them - even if they all show the same file creation date and time stamp. What does "Created Date" actually mean? What tool are you using that uses that term? It's not a standard term for photographic metadata. If your goal is to have Windows sort the files in the order you want them sorted, I don't know whether WIndows can sort on the photographic metadata I'm not a Windows user.

But even if it can, some photos won't have that metadata. I was referring to original. Sounds like it is something the OS should improve.

What data is included is dependent upon what data you applied to your photo while in Lightroom such as your copyright information, contact information, titles, keywords, etc. What matters is what is required for the given job at hand. In some cases you might want to include every possible bit of data and in other cases you might want to exclude certain data. I just want to make you aware of what is possible. We even got a new option with Lightroom Classic. This option includes every bit of metadata you applied in Lightroom, plus the EXIF info created by the camera, and only excludes the Camera Raw instructions you applied in Develop.

Both of these options will include things like keywords, title, caption, star rating, color labels. Below the drop-down menu are checkboxes for removing Person info from using face taggingand Location info from camera applied GPS or applying locations in Map module. The last checkbox is for having Lightroom write included hierarchical keywords to a special field in the XMP metadata of the exported copy, that could be useful if the exported copy was imported into another Lightroom catalog or viewed in Bridge.

This is a bit of an edge case scenario in my experience. I leave this unchecked. If there are keywords applied to the photo and you choose a metadata option that includes themthen those keywords will be written as a flat list to the IPTC Keywords field, which is more universally supported by other programs and websites.

Because about 3 out of four times, all metadata except date are gone! Sometimes they get included, sometimes not? Regards, DB, Norway. It does show me all the other data besides that though. Am I missing something here? Your email address will not be published. Featured Lightroom Classic.
